FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for the prediction of manifestation of foetal infection caused by type 1 and 2 herpes simplex virus in newborns of the mothers with persistent herpes viral infection during pregnancy. The method is implemented by analysing newborn's umbilical blood for TLR-2 expressing monocyte count. If TLR is 64.5% and lower, the newborn are predicted to have a manifestation of the foetal infection caused by type 1 and 2 herpes simplex virus.
EFFECT: method allows reducing the length of analysis and improving the accuracy of individual prediction, and gives an opportunity to prescribe a pathogenetic therapy in proper time.
