FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostic research methods. Method involves determination of the level of glycosaminoglycans and uronic acids in newborn cord blood serum and in their values 225.1-286.1 mcmole/l and 282.0-518.6 mcmole/l, respectively, a baby is considered to be infected. In the level of glycosaminoglycans less 225.1 mcmole/l and the level of uronic acids less 282.0 mcmole/l a baby is considered to be ill. Method is simple for accomplishment, available under clinical conditions and shows the information content on the stage of preclinical diagnosis.
EFFECT: improved diagnosis method.
