SUBSTANCE: method involves determining interleukine-2 and interleukine-4 concentration in newborn umbilical cord blood by applying immune-enzyme assay approach. IL-2 concentration being equal to or greater than 232 pg/l and IL-4 concentration being equal to or greater than 195 pg/l, clinical cytomegalovirus infection manifestation is predicted in the first 3 months of life of babies.
EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis.
