SUBSTANCE: displaying surface displays a subset of one list which contains a set of list entries, and the displayed subset of the list is altered through a first user control process, list entries being successively deleted through the first control process. The method, according to the invention, is characterised by that a second control process enables to skip several list entries in order to reach the list entry which is not contained in the displayed subset of list entries which were displayed during the second control process. Furthermore, the apparatus relates to an information displaying apparatus which particularly enables to execute steps of the method described above.
