SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a storage module which receives metadata on audiovisual data from a data medium and stores said metadata. The metadata contain a volume identifier which indicates whether audiovisual data contained in the data media form a volume. Metadata also contain first information on the number of data media making up that volume, and second information on the position of the data medium in that volume.
EFFECT: saving storage space and high efficiency of search.
