RELAXATION METHOD OF SPAMMED MUSCLES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61N1/18

Abstract RU 2649475 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely physiotherapy, neurology, traumatology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, sports medicine, and can be used for the relaxation of spasms in the treatment of patients with various diseases of the musculoskeletal, nervous systems, as well as for prevention in the social sphere. For this purpose, a stimulating electric pulse impact is carried out on relaxed antagonist muscles with a pulse frequency of 15 to 35 Hz, duration of the pulse signal from 5 to 60 mcs, the current signal level in the range of 5 to 75 % of the signal strength at which the patient feels the vibration. Relaxation effects on spasmodic muscle agonists are effected by thermal exposure from 42 to 60 °C. Additionally a thermal action is effected from 42 to 60 °C temperature on the segments of the spine, responsible for the innervation of the muscle pairs of the agonist / antagonist to be treated. Effects on the muscle pairs of the agonist / antagonist and on the segments of the spine, responsible for the innervation of the muscle pairs of the agonist / antagonist, can be carried out simultaneously and in turn. Stimulating electric pulse action and the relaxation effect are carried out on separate zones of the body or on all at once simultaneously.

EFFECT: method provides an effective and physiological relaxation of spasms due to the formation of a synergistic effect due to a combination of effects, allowing to include in the process the central nervous system that regulates and changes the physiological state of the muscular pairs tissue agonist / antagonist.
