FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive composition. The adhesive composition contains mixtures of styrene block-copolymers, compatible resins which increase adhesiveness, fatty acids whose hydrocarbon chain contains 10-22 carbon atoms. The adhesive composition is used in a multilayer system having a layer of adhesive composition, a printable substrate and a neighbouring protective layer. The printable substrate is formed from paper or a single- or multilayer film and adjoins the adhesive layer. A self-adhesive label is obtained by transformation of the multilayer system. The label is used in an article which is a packaging container or a vessel made of glass or plastic. To recycle the article with the label, the article is immersed in hot aqueous solution of a base, which enables to easily and completely remove the label at the immersion stage without leaving traces of adhesive on the article.

EFFECT: method increases cost-effectiveness of the process since it ensures minimal contamination of the washing water and reduces the total amount of water used.
