FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive (HMPSA) composition used for self-adhesive labels. The HMPSA composition contains a styrene block-copolymer which is compatible with a tackifying resin, as well as one or more carboxylic acids whose hydrocarbon chain contains 6-54 carbon atoms. The softening temperature of the tackifying resin ranges from 80 to 150°C and its acid number is less than 20. A multilayer system, having a layer of the HMPSA composition, contains a printable base layer and an adjoining protective layer. The self-adhesive label is obtained by converting the multilayer system. An article coated with the self-adhesive label is a storage container, a container made from glass or plastic, preferably a glass bottle. The article with the label is recycled by removing the label by immersing the article in hot aqueous alkaline solution.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive composition.
