FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making metallic part reinforced by ceramic fibres. Groove for insert is made in main metal case comprises top side. Said groove is shaped to L-section recess with side perpendicular to said top side and side parallel therewith. Insert composed of a bundle of fibres with metal matrix is fitted in said groove. Metal cover is welded on said main case to close said insert. Cover has inner L-like recess supplementing the shape of metal case recess. Note here that said cover is shaped so that pressure forces act perpendicular to said sides of the recess. Thereafter, the device is subjected to isostatic pressing and machining to required shape.
EFFECT: simplified process.
