FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fabrication of long insert. The latter is intended for fitting in metal container by isostatic pressing. Besides, invention relates to production of long metal part with fibrous insert. Proposed method comprises the steps that follow. First, clad threads are located side-by-side to make a bundle. Then, said bundle of clad threads is drawn the forming element to forming in crosswise direction and to shape it to cross-section defined by said forming element. Note here that said clad threads are made of ceramic fibres coated with metal.

EFFECT: higher strength of parts, production of shaped inserts.
