FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: insert is formed by assembling metal-coated ceramic fibers in a bundle to be placed in metallic mould so that said insert is spaced from mould walls. Said mould is filled with metal powder, evacuated and tightly closed by cover welded thereto. Obtained complex is subjected to isostatic pressing at temperature and pressure sufficient for bonding of powder particles and fibers together. Mould is withdrawn and, if necessary, produced part is machined to required shape.
