FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tool making and may be used for producing diamond cutting wheels. Cutter wheel comprises metal disc body with working part composed of diamond-bearing material applied thereon. Said working part has through lengthwise holes, each being filled with diamond-bearing material. Said holes are staggered to make peripheral cutting edge composed of alternating body metal parts and diamond-bearing material filled in said holes. Maximum transverse size of holes equals (2-6) dz, where dz is diamond powder grain size, while gap between adjacent holes makes (0.05-0.5)a where a is maximum transverse size of holes.
EFFECT: thicker wheel working part, higher cutting properties.
