SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a mixture of ethylene amines. According to the disclosed method, a mixture of amino nitriles containing at least two α-amino nitriles in amount of at least 5 wt % each, is hydrogenated in the presence of a Raney catalyst and a solvent. The α-is a substance selected from: aminoacetonitrole (AAN), iminodiacetonitrile (IDAN), ethylene diamine diacetonitrile (EDDN), ethylene diaminomonoacetonitrile (EDMN), diethylene triamine diacetonitrile (DETDN), diethylene triamine monoacetonitrile (DETMN), piperazinyl ethylaminoacetonitrile (PEAN), aminoethyl piperazinyl acetonitrile (AEPAN) and cyanomethyl piperazinyl ethylaminoacetonitrile (CMPEAN).

EFFECT: method enables to achieve high degree of conversion with high selectivity.
