FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in accumulation of gases of free space behind the shot in accumulation chamber of projectile aft-section, its elongation by deforming radially corrugated membrane for it to be shaped to cone. Note here that membrane deformation is performed by sequential loading. Note that, first, axial load is applied to membrane central part and, then, it is loaded by internal pressure. Proposed device comprises accumulation chamber, throttling device, thrust rifled disc and radially corrugated membrane. Membrane is laid on appropriate rifled section of thrust disc and secured thereto. Throttling device is mounted at the center of aforesaid disc and secured to said radially corrugated membrane. Additionally, said accumulation chamber houses extending pusher. The latter is tightly jointed with central part of radially corrugated membrane. Extending pusher consists of telescoping sleeves arranged to displace axial against the stop at thrust disc inner end surface.

EFFECT: increased range of fire.
