FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, namely to viticulture and can be used for the commercial cultivation of grapes. The method of forming and trimming vines includes planting bushes in rows, growing two shoots, creation of which of a sustained twisted stem around a stake in the form of a spiral with the height of 80…100 cm. The method is carried out with layout of bushes as 3x1.5 m, after the first vegetation at pruning on each bush 1-2 knots with two eyes on each are left. Then early in the second vegetation at breaking-off of the green shoots two of the most powerful shoots are chosen from the developed shoots on the bush, the others are removed. During the second vegetation two stems of different heights - 100…110 cm and 160…170 cm are created of the two left shoots by topping. They are fastened around the stake in a spiral. Then during the third vegetation of the shoots that developed from the eyes buds at the upper part of each stem six - seven 2-3-eye knots are formed on the perimetre. During the fourth and subsequent vegetation the vegetative shoots with the harvest of grapes are placed freely creating a non-trellis two-storied cupped form of the bush.
EFFECT: in use of this method a significant increase in yield and its quality occurs, and reduction of labor costs.
