FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: downstream apron comprises a bottom board (3) and a fountain element arranged at the outlet of the downstream apron (2) in the form of a ledge wall. The discharge surface of the ledge wall is made with formation of grooves (4) and ledges (5) that serially alternate along the length. Grooves are made as concave, of curvilinear shape. The fountain element (2) is made as stepped in the form of at least a double-tier ledge-wall with a discharge surface along height of the fountain element steps. Grooves of the upper tier are made of larger sizes compared to grooves of the lower tier.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of flow energy suppression at a short section of a water discharge structure downstream apron, which helps to prevent erosion and damage downstream.
