FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods of quenching the energy of flows of liquids and gases and can be used in hydrotechnical construction and in machine building. Single inventive idea of inventions consists in maximizing the use of the kinetic energy of gas, liquid flows to self-quench the energy of gases and liquids. Method for damping the kinetic energy of the flow includes turning the flow, the velocity vector of the moving secondary flow being directed with respect to the velocity vector of the primary flow with a meeting angle of more than 180°. Energy damper of the first embodiment includes a water well with a bottom, a concave surface of the ledge, the generatrix of which is made with a gradual increase in the angle of rotation. Channel of the absorber of the flow at the inlet smoothly passes into the curve formed in the form of a section of the Archimedes' spiral with a turning angle of more than 180° and having a ratio D = aH a semi-cylindrical well, where H is the cross section of the flow in the direction of the cross section of the half-cylinder; a – the numerical value of the coefficient from 2 to 10, depending on the speed and the maximum possible cross section of the flow height; D is the average diameter of a semi-cylindrical surface in a plane perpendicular to the incoming stream. Energy absorber of the flow of the second option includes a water channel, an annular chamber, a confuser. Channel of the water conduit of the flow damper at the inlet to the annular chamber terminates with a confusor and through the gap rests against the top of the cone of the figure of rotation with the generatrix of the curve in the form of a section of the Archimedes' spiral with an increasing turning angle of more than 180° and having the relation D = ad, where d is the average value of the diameter of the flow in the direction transverse to its motion; a – the numerical value of the coefficient from 4 to 10, depending on the speed and the maximum possible section of the flow; D is the largest diameter of the rotation figure in a plane perpendicular to the incoming stream. Device for extinguishing the kinetic energy of the flow includes dampers connected in series. During the flow, the absorbers of the flow velocity are installed in the first and second variants in an amount of more than one. Stream energy absorber according to the third embodiment of the invention includes a spreading threshold set above the river bed with an expansion in the direction of flow of the water flow. Semicylindrical well used in this embodiment, disclosed in the first embodiment, is made of the bottom of the river buried in the ground with a mark of the upper edge below the bottom of the river bed. From the bottom edge of the semi-cylindrical well, an inclined plate is made with a rise towards the bottom of the river and an expansion value at the entrance to the river, determined by the formula.

EFFECT: applicability of the quenching method in hydraulic engineering and gas dynamics, ensuring the effective use of the self-energy flow for its self-extinction, simplification of designs of devices-dampers of energy of a stream, increase of their durability and reliability.
