SUBSTANCE: pixel circuit 20 includes an organic electric luminescent element 25, an exciting TFT 21 and a switching TFT 23, designed between a gate and a drain of the exciting TFT 21. After recording into the pixel circuit 20, the initial voltage is applied to the contact lead of the gate of the exciting TFT 21, and the switching TFT 23 is temporarily controlled and changed into a conducting condition while the exciting TFT 21 is in the conducting condition, and voltage of data corrected using potential of the contact lead of the gate of the exciting TFT 21, produced within this time, is applied to the contact lead of the gate of the exciting TFT 21. The initial voltage Vint_B, which increases accuracy of threshold correction, is used for blue pixel circuits, and the initial voltage Vint_G, which reduces consumed power, is used for green pixel circuits.

EFFECT: reduced consumed power of a display.
