FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device has a display panel which includes a plurality of pixel display circuits and a plurality of pixel sensor circuits, a driving circuit which outputs to the pixel sensor circuits, which includes one optical sensor, one accumulation unit which accumulates a charge which corresponds to the amount of the read light, a reading transistor, having a control terminal lead connected to the accumulation unit, a plurality of switching elements which are turned on or off in accordance with the control signal and switch the path for current flowing through the optical sensor. The pixel sensor circuit is configured such that, in accordance with the control signal, current flowing through the optical sensor flows in a predefined direction relative the accumulation unit when the light source is turned on, and flows in the opposite direction relative the accumulation unit when the light source is turned off.
EFFECT: enabling to freely set the duration and interval relative the period of turning on backlight and the period of turning off backlight independent of the light environment.
