SUBSTANCE: method is realised due to that TFT 10 and 15 and organic EL device 17 are provided between supply line Vp and common cathode Vcom, and capacitor 16 and TFT 11 are provided between the gate of TFT 10 and data line Sj. TFT 12 is provided between the gate and drain of TFT 10, TFT 13 is provided between the anode terminal of the organic EL device 17 and the common cathode Vcom, and TFT 14 is provided between the electrode of capacitor 16 and the supply line Vp. The gates of TFT 11-13 are connected to the scanning line Gi, the gates of TFT 14 and 15 are connected to the scanning line Ei. When recording, high potential is applied across the scanning line Gi, and low potential is applied across the scanning line Ei soon after. While high potential is applied on the two scanning lines, the data line Sj is controlled such that it is in a high impedance state. Thus the pixel circuit, configured by N-type transistors, is driven using two types of scanning lines.
EFFECT: providing a display device having a pixel circuit which is configured by N-type transistors and can be driven using two types of scanning lines.
