FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a key transistor, a load inductance with secondary windings, one of which is designed for generation of control voltage, a control transistor, an RC-circuit, a current-setting circuit, a diode and a resistor. The main difference of this device from the prototype is replacement of a negative feedback (FB) covering transistors at the moment of opening of the key transistor with a positive FB. The inner capacitance of the diode is of great importance in development of this positive FB. The proposed technical solution makes it possible to ensure the most efficient usage of capabilities of a bipolar key transistor, as a result of which the maximum output capacity of the converter may be increased several times while preserving capacity, dispersed on the key transistor. At the same time the minimum number of components required for implementation of a free-running converter is preserved, and it is possible to ensure a higher efficiency compared to converters based on MOS transistors.
EFFECT: increased electrical efficiency of a DC converter due to lower losses of capacity on a key transistor.
