FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: DC voltage converter comprises a switching unit (1), a loading transformer (2), a voltage surge limiter (3), an additional winding (4), a diode (5) and a capacitor (6). Energy saved in leakage inductance of the transformer (2), charges a capacitor (6) of a rectifier, connected to the additional winding, having maximum possible inductive connection with the primary winding of the transformer (2). To ensure such connection the additional winding 4 is wound between layers or is placed between turns of the primary winding of the transformer (2). Discharge of the capacitor (6) is carried out with a current of primary winding inductance charge in each subsequent cycle. As a result the capacity released on elements of the voltage surge limiter (3), becomes considerably lower, and the additional rectifier itself, comprising a diode (5) and a capacitor (6), does not consume output capacity. It makes it possible to considerably reduce energy losses and heat release in the primary section of single-cycle transformer DC voltage converters, which in the end makes it possible to reduce their volume.
EFFECT: reduced volume of a DC voltage converter as a result of reducing capacity scattered on elements of a voltage surge limiter occurring on the primary winding of a transformer as a switching key opens.
