FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: feeder has a hollow box with a feeding hole for connection to a granular reagent hopper, a flat aerating fluidisation element installed in the bottom and connected to a pneumatic pulse feeding and control unit, an outlet hole in form of a slit formed in the side wall of the box. The box is divided by a partition which is open on the side of the aerating element, whose cut is parallel to the cut of the side wall of the box in the zone of the slit and the surface of the aerating element. The distance from the surface of the aerating element to the cut of the side wall is equal to or greater than said distance to the cut of the partition, and the cavity over the aerating element enables to form therein a gate for the fed granular reagent and counteract free flow of the reagent.

EFFECT: providing air-tightness of the feeder if there are no granular reagents in the hopper, the capacity to allow foreign matter found in alumina, as well as compatibility with any automated systems for controlling feeding of reagents.
