SUBSTANCE: method of determining feedback error in the tracking loop of a pseudorandom code which modulates a signal transmitted from a satellite and received by a satellite positioning system receiver is applied, said method comprising a step for determining the signal which corresponds to the correlation energy between the received signal and the signal copy, and characterised by that it further comprises a step for determining the shift value between the reconstructed signal and the signal which is centred with respect to the current feedback position, wherein said centred signal corresponds to the autocorrelation energy of the pseudorandom code, and said shift, found likewise, corresponds to the code tracking error.

EFFECT: high efficiency of the satellite code tracking loop in GPS system applications, providing high resistance to the effect of multiple path propagation.
