METHOD OF TREATING DISEASES OF TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT, ACCOMPANIED BY ANTERIOR DISPLACEMENT AND DEFORMATION OF ARTICULAR DISK Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B17/24 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to dentistry and is intended for application in treatment of diseases of temporomandibular joint, accompanied by anterior displacement and deformation of articular disk (TMJ). Superposterior edge of mandible head is determined by palpation. Skin puncture and infiltration of soft tissues with local anesthetics, not containing vasoconstrictors, are performed with a needle. Superposterior surface of mandible head is reached under control of USE. To perform puncture of upper articular space needle is directed from posterior-upper surface of mandible head upward to the contact with cortical plate of mandibular fossa of temporal bone. 1.5 ml of local anesthetic is introduced under USE control. After that, needle is moved into lower part of articular space. After making sure by USE images that needle is in lower part of articular space, 1 ml of solution of local anesthetic is introduced into it. By indications, based on clinical data and USE control, procedure is repeated to 4-6 times 1-2 times per week.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to normalise position of articular disk, recover function of temporomandibular joint due to hydraulic impact on all soft tissue elements of joint and creation of optimal conditions for articular disk reposition.
