FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inertial cleaning of gases from dust and may be used in whatever industry, particularly, in food and chemical industries. Proposed separator comprises cylinder-taper casing with tangential inlet pipe arranged at angle to horizontal and cylindrical outlet pipe arranged at casing center and aligned therewith. Separator casing accommodates conical insert furnished with slotted catching holes made at angle to cone generatrix. Gap between dust catcher wall and said conical insert exceeds the particle smallest size.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation.
