FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for integrated water treatment using an aerosol-gas mixture and can be used to decontaminate drinking water in self-contained water supply systems (ship systems, water reclamation systems and life support systems of spacecraft and submarine vessels). The method involves treating water with a chlorine-containing reactant at room temperature and pH of the aqueous solution of 8. The first step involves reaction of carbamide (NH2)2CO with a two-third basic salt of calcium hypochlorite 3Ca(ClO)2 2Ca(OH)2 2H2O in ratio of 1:5. The second step involves decontamination of water with the aerosol-gas mixture obtained at the first step, which contains ammonia and monochloramine in ratio of 1:3.5. The decontamination process is carried out for 1.5-2 hours at water temperature of 10-40°C.

EFFECT: improved microbiological properties of the decontaminated water through use of the aerosol-gas mixture whose active components are monochloramine and ammonia.
