FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a foamed element (7) made from foamed material and particles (11) of at least one hydrophilic agent, such as cellulose, super-absorbent, wherein the element (7) made from foamed material, which contains the particles (11), is capable of reversibly absorbing moisture; part of the particles (11) is completely embedded inside the foamed material and the other part of the particles (11) lies in the foamed material while protruding out through the surface (13), for example walls (9) of cells or cell connectors (10); the foamed material without the hydrophilic agent, in accordance with the equilibrium moisture, at temperature of 23°C and relative moisture of 93%, has moisture absorption greater than 2.8 wt %. The invention also relates to use of the foamed element.
EFFECT: foamed element has high moisture absorption capacity with subsequent high rate of removal of the absorbed and accumulated moisture.
