ABSORBING ARTICLE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2125860 C1

FIELD: personal appurtenances. SUBSTANCE: this relates to such articles as swaddling clothes and others used for help in case of incontinence of urine. Such articles contain in their absorbing core component for receiving/distributing of liquid and component for storing/redistribution of liquid which communicates as to flow of liquid with component for receiving/distributing of liquid. Acceptable in function of component for receiving/distributing of liquid is any porous hydrofillic material for example fibrous material or material made on foam plastic base which ensures initial liquid receiving speed of not less than 2 ml of synthetic urine in 1 s as well as ensures preferably at least 2 cm height of vertical capillary raising during 30 min. Component for storing/redistribution of liquid incorporates hydrofillic flexible foam plastic material with open pores possessing free absorbing capacity of at least 12 ml of synthetic urine per 1 g of dry foam plastic and absorbing capacity under compressing pressure of 5.1 kPa being not less than 5% of aforesaid free absorbing capacity. Preferable materials of component for receiving/distributing of liquid are chemically fortified, twisted, coiled, cellulose fibres. Preferable materials of component for storing/redistribution of liquid include absorbing foam plastics produced by polymerization of emulsion with high content of dispersing phase. Aforesaid dispersing article is characterized by high efficiency of imbibing liquid discharges and ensures especially low percent of leaking. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 45 cl, 7 ex, 9 dwg, 2 tbl
