SUBSTANCE: cardboard for liquids contains fibrous base on which at least from one side a layer of polymer coating is applied. And the fibrous base contains at least 1.3 kg of hydrophobic adhesive agent comprising alkyl ketene dimer, per 1 ton of dry matter, and at least 1.0 kg of water-resistant adhesive agent per 1 ton of dry matter, the density of the fibrous base is 630-800 kg/m³, the amount of thermosealing polymer in the coating layer is higher than the amount of shagginess of uncovered fibrous base, measured at the Bristowe's wheel and/or comprises at least 14 g/m², the pH value of the cardboard aqueous extract measured by the method of ISO 6588, is higher than 7.0. The drinking glass made of such cardboard is resistant to 30 wt % solution of ethanol at a temperature of 23°C for at least 1 hour.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides resistance of cardboard to solvents by reduction of absorption capacity of the cardboard through the rough edge.
