FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: xenon-containing oxygen used as initial gas mixture is subject to cooling; initial gas mixture is supplied to xenon-retaining adsorber, from which xenon concentrate is removed. Before initial gas mixture is supplied to the xenon-retaining adsorber, radon is removed from it by supplying it to the cooled sorbent of radon-retaining adsorber; oxygen is replaced regularly in the xenon-retaining adsorber with inert medium by reducing the supply of gas mixture and supply to xenon-retaining adsorber of the replacing gas till residual concentration of oxygen at its outlet is not higher than the established threshold. Removal of xenon concentrate from the xenon-retaining adsorber is performed by creating the temperature gradient in the sorbent of the xenon-retaining adsorber from its inlet to the outlet till desorption wave of xenon appears at the outlet; after that, xenon fraction is extracted. The plant for the described method's implementation includes a xenon adsorber, a heat exchanger, a filling ramp, a radon-retaining adsorber, an electric heater, a membrane compressor, an ejector, a flow metre, valves and pipelines.
EFFECT: use of the invention will allow reducing a radiation factor in useful product.
