SUBSTANCE: described in this application is a bathing suit having: a base layer (4) made of a stretchable elastic textile material and having a torso part that, in the course of the suit wearing, covers at least a part of the user's torso and an internal medullary layer (40) made of a stretchable elastic textile material and attached to the internal surface of the base layer so that to pass over the bathing suit belly and lower back part. The torso part covers the corresponding hip areas that, in the course of the bathing suit wearing, cover the user's hips. The front and the rear parts of the internal medullary layer connect the both side parts of the bathing suit so that the internal medullary layer passes all the time around the bathing suit torso part in the form of a contiguous strip, the difference consisting in the fact that the base player passes downwards over the hip are while the internal medullary layer side parts fail to do so.

EFFECT: bathing suit may help in ensuring improved operational capabilities of swimmer sportsmen by way of reducing surface hydraulic resistance, shape-conditioned hydraulic resistance and/or increasing stability in water.
