FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to production of a modified conjugated diene polymer. Described is a method of producing a modified conjugated diene polymer which involves a modification step (A) where a conjugated diene polymer having content of cis-1,4 bonds of 98.5% or higher, content of 1,2-vinyl bonds of 0.5 wt % or less, ratio (Mw/Mn) of weight-average molecular weight (Mw) to number-average molecular weight (Mn), which is determined by gel permeation chromatography, of 3.5 or less, and Mooney viscosity (ML1+4 (100°C)) at 100°C ranging from 5 to 50 and having active ends, is subjected to a modification reaction with introduction of an alkoxy silane compound which contains two or more reaction groups, including an alkoxy silyl group, and at least one functional group selected from (f) an epoxide group and (g) an isocyanate group, into the active end of the chain of the conjugated diene polymer, and a condensation step (B), where a residue of the alkoxy silyl compound introduced into the active end of the polymer chain is subjected to a condensation reaction in the presence of a condensation catalyst which includes at least one element selected from Ti, Sn, Bi, Zr and Al. Also described is a modified conjugated diene polymer obtained using said method. Described is a rubber composition for use in tyre components, which contains said modified conjugated diene polymer as a rubber component. Described is a tyre component which contains said rubber composition, as well as a tyre which has said tyre component.

EFFECT: obtaining a modified conjugated diene polymer which can be used as material of a rubber mixture for producing rubber with low heat release and excellent wear-resistance.
