SUBSTANCE: in the method of processing data in a digital subscriber line during the "training" phase of the subscriber equipment, a central station reports on transmission power to the subscriber equipment; the central station transmits data to the subscriber equipment with transmission power less than the reported transmission power on at least one frequency; the subscriber equipment determines the signal-to-noise ratio based on the transmitted data.
EFFECT: high processing efficiency due to considerable reduction of the risk of repeating the training procedure caused by noise and crosstalk without deterioration of performance characteristics.
