FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: bearer context maintained by an access terminal is synchronised with a network so that a change in the status of the bearer context may be reflected in the network. For example, if an access terminal determines that a resource previously requested by the access terminal is no longer needed, the access terminal may deactivate the bearer context locally in a case where the access terminal is unable to communicate with the network. In such a case, the access terminal may synchronise its bearer context with the network once the access terminal re-establishes communication with the network. For example, the access terminal may send a message to the network indicating that the access terminal has deactivated the bearer context.
EFFECT: high accuracy of bearer context synchronisation.
