FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing flat rolled stock from continuously cast ingots of mean or large thickness or from continuously cast billets comprises reduction and feeding through rough and finish lines whereat scale is removed from its edges before reduction. Proposed method is implemented at rolling line comprising, at least, one first reduction device 1, roughing and finishing rolling lines whereat first scale removal device is arranged ahead of first reduction device to remove scale from flat rolled stock edges. Norte here that fluid is fed to both edges of rolled stock via several atomisers arranged at rulers of side guides of rolling rile and made integral with said rulers adjusted over rolled stock width.
EFFECT: efficient scale removal.
