FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of making explosive charges which are poured into a housing and can be used when making new or improving existing processes of making charges by pouring into a housing. The method of making moulded explosive charges, which involves layer by layer pouring of a melt into a housing, wherein each subsequent layer of the melt of explosive is poured into the housing after lowering the volume-average temperature of the previous layer to the temperature of the end of volumetric changes of the explosive during crystallisation, for the determination of which a sample of the explosive is placed in working liquid, parameters of the latter are varied and change in volume is determined from change in buoyancy force acting on the surface in the liquid, wherein after filling the housing with the explosive, temperature of the top layer of the composition before solidification of the basic mass of the charge is kept higher than the melting point of the explosive composition, and the housing is then filled to the required level using a known method.

EFFECT: method enables to produce a monolithic charge without forming shrinkage holes.
