SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of metallurgy, in particular to a cooling plate for a metallurgical furnace. The cooling plate has a body made in the form of a panel, having front and rear sides, and also upper and lower faces, the first and second faces. The front side of the cooling plate is made with grooves that stretches between the first and second side faces. Grooves form plate ribs on the front side of the cooling plate. Each plate rib has a comb and adjoining side walls. At least one of the grooves is equipped with a metal insert arranged tightly at least to one of side walls.
EFFECT: using the invention provides for increased service life of a cooling plate.
