FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a protection system for a metallurgical furnace, for example a blast furnace. The system contains a refrigerator plate with a front surface passing in the direction X and the direction Y perpendicular to it, i.e., lying in the plane X-Y, wherein this surface has rectilinear grooves passing in the direction X and inserts installed in grooves due to sliding. In this case, inserts are installed in one groove with an interval between them, centers of inserts installed in one groove are displaced in directions X and Y relatively to centers of inserts installed in a neighboring groove. Each insert protrudes from the front surface of the refrigerator plate and has surfaces directing a flow, which are inclined relatively to directions X and Y laying in the plane X-Y.
EFFECT: during the operation, the displacement of inserts in directions X and Y, and the inclination of surfaces directing a flow provide for the movement of a material flow moving in a furnace under the impact of gravity in a direction, components of which coincide with directions X and Y, which allows for the distribution of moving material along spaces between inserts on a front surface of a refrigerator plate and/or provision of grip of this material in spaces between inserts.
