SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Cooling plate for a metallurgical furnace comprises a housing with a front surface and an opposite rear surface thereof, which is made with at least one coolant channel, the front surface preferably contains alternating ribs and recesses and in the process of use facing the interior of the furnace. Cooling plate for the metallurgical furnace also contains means for detecting wear and tear, made with the possibility of controlling the wear of the body, which contain several closed pressure chambers distributed at different locations in the body, the pressure chambers are located at predetermined depths below the front surface of the housing, and a pressure sensor associated with each pressure chamber with the ability to detect deviations from the reference pressure in the pressure chamber when the latter becomes open due to wear of the housing.
EFFECT: reliable alternative way to monitor the wear status of cooling plates is proposed.
