FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: radar station employs, with simultaneous dual polarisation, a radio-frequency power divider which replaces high-speed switches of two polarisations. Critical components of the receiver in the base of the radar station are moved above a rotating elevation connector. A bypass switch is also used to switch modes of the radar station, as well as a special structure for receiving signals with two polarisations, which enables the efficient collection of data on depolarisation coefficients for selected atmospheric regions. The radar station further includes a microwave radiometer, a radial Doppler velocity determining device at different elevation angles of the antenna, a radial wind velocity spectrum width determining device, a meteorological map former, a satellite communication line, a satellite communication channel, a positioning device and a control panel.
EFFECT: eliminating the problem of protracted analysis of signals, faster operation and reliability during operation.
