SUBSTANCE: device for melting glazed frost comprises a device for heating of wires of overhead power transmission lines, comprising a latticed metal plate, which is connected with a spring in the form of a bus placed in a pipe from an insulating material and fixed to the support of the overhead power transmission line, an electric contact, which via an alternating resistor and a fuse is connected to one or two wires of the overhead power transmission line, and also an electric contact fixed to the latticed plate and connected to a radio transmitter that switches on as glazed frost is deposited onto the latticed plate.

EFFECT: increased reliability and automation of melting process.
