SUBSTANCE: brush comprises the axis of rotation and the brush surface. The brush surface is designed for contacting with the body of a domestic animal in the contact area for transfer pressure on the body of a domestic animal. The brush surface comprises a first area having the first properties of pressure transfer, and a second area having the second properties of pressure transfer. The second properties of pressure transfer are different from the first properties of pressure transfer. The plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation intersects both the first area and the second area, so that the brush, in its rotation, can massage the body of a domestic animal in its contact area. The brush device comprising at least one brush, a driving device for rotating the brush around its axis of rotation and the support device for supporting the brush and the driving device. The support device is attached to the supporting surface. The method consists in the fact that the brush surface of the brush described above, is brought into contact with the body of a domestic animal for pressure transfer to the body of animal for massaging through the brush the body of animal in its contact area.

EFFECT: invention enables to improve the viability of domestic animals due to removing dust and dirt from the wool or fur of animal and excess hair, and to improve the health of domestic animals due to massage of their skin and body.
