FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture, in particular to livestock monitoring. System for monitoring livestock comprises at least two tags. Each tag comprises a sensor that detects a physical parameter relating to the animal, a processor configured to receive or process information from the sensor, memory adapted to store data, and data received from other tags, and a communication interface adapted for wireless communication between tags. One of the at least two labels provides an optimum label which is in an optimum state for communication with respect to sufficient supply energy and/or signal power. Optimal tag generates and stores a set of aggregated data relating to the animal, as well as data relating to other animals in the group of animals. Data from other animals in the group of animals are transmitted to the optimal tag through the communication interfaces of the tags; and a remote computer system configured to communicate with the at least two tags through the communication interface of each tag.
EFFECT: reducing the load on cattle breeders and/or shepherds, improving and simplifying the overall registration of the flock of the livestock management system.
