FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to otolaryngology. Cryo-irrigation of rhinopharyngeal tonsil tissues with vapours and drops of liquid nitrogen is performed by 1-2 second long pulses with intervals 1-2 seconds, 3-4 pulses successively in each series. After carrying out a series of pulses, exhalation through nose is made and after 0.5-1 minute of arbitrary breathing series of pulses is repeated. Influence is carried out with anterior rhinoscopy in sitting position by turns from both sides at inhalation with breath-holding. The distal end of cryo-sprayer is placed in posterior third of common nasal meatus. Flow of liquid nitrogen vapiurs from cryo-sprayer tube is preliminarily visualised on air and is visually compared with intensity and volume of flow of nitrogen vapour, which appears in the course of cryo-irrigation from the second half of nose. If intensity and volume of flows coincide, conclusion about functional respiratory usefulness of nasopharynx lumen is made. 1-2 series of cryo-irrigation are performed on each side and repeat of treatment after a year is administered. If reduction of intensity and volume of nitrogen vapour flow, coming out of the second half of nose, is registered, conclusion about limitation of functional respiratory usefulness of nasopharynx lumen is made. 3-4 series of cryirrigation from each side are carried out, repeat of treatment of administered after 3-6 months. If nitrogen vapour flow, coming out of the second half of nose, is absent, conclusion about functional respiratory failure of nasopharynx is made. 5-10 series of cryo-irrigation from each side of nose are performed in lying position and repeat of treatment is administered after 2-3 months. In case of repeated procedure of cryogenic treatment everything is performed in analogous way.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to perform differential reduction of dimensions of adenoids depending on degree of functional respiratory failure of nasopharynx, increase protective immunologic functions of nasopharyngeal tonsil.
