FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pulse processing, particularly, to defining power efficiency at spark surface doping unit. Proposed method comprises recording all electric pulses during basic time interval to define quantity N_Σ total power E_Σ of all recorded pulses. Recorded pulses are rated to operating pulses with pulse power making not lower than 20% of maximum recorded power and low-power pulses not exceeding 20% of maximum recorded pulse power. Quantity N_p and total power E_p of working pulses are defined. Thereafter, factor of efficiency of working pulse generation of the plant S_N=N_p/N_Σ and power factor of using said factor of efficiency S_E=E_p/E_Σ of surface doping are defined to estimate efficiency of spark doping plant.
