FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in production or repair of ICE cylinder sleeves, particularly, to sleeve finishing. Honing plate including cutting element and finishing surface is used for application of oil-conducting grid inside the sleeve. Cutting element is rigidly secured in the frame made of material that features hardness lower than that of cutting element. Finishing surface is made on said frame with cutting element extending beyond said frame by magnitude Z. In making honing plate, cutting element should extend beyond said frame by magnitude Y selected with allowance for finishing plate surface grinding to extension of cutting element by magnitude Z. In application of oil-conducting grid, cutting element should extend from sleeve cavity while sleeve surface is finished by plate frame. Application of oil-conducting grid and finishing sleeve cavity are carried out at cylinder sleeve axial loading at detachable appliance.
