FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding. Step of heating surface of the part to be welded together includes initial, main and final heating steps. Initial heating is performed at pressure sufficient for removal of oxide films from surfaces to be welded together and terminated on decreasing said pressure to that of main heating making 25-50% of initial heating pressure. Main heating is performed at pressure sufficient for increasing butt temperature to that of welding. In final heating billet rotary drive if cut off to increase main heating pressure to that of forging. Pressure increase interval at final step is set smaller than or equal to interval of billet rotation termination.
EFFECT: higher stability and quality of welding, savings of materials and power, simplified design.
