SUBSTANCE: method involves contact sampling from the surface of the object to be analysed for presence of explosives, treating the sample with a polar solvent with reaction thereof with a cationic dye, physical and chemical analysis of the obtained solution in a sorbent layer with visual inspection of the presence of the perchlorate ion from displacement of the coloured zone of the formed ion-associate.

EFFECT: simple and rapid detection of traces of perchlorate compounds with sufficient selectivity.
