FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: light-emitting device has a set consisting of a light-emitting diode (LED) structure and a transparent device. The transparent device has at least a first and a second section, wherein the colour of light from said first and second sections is different. Furthermore, the LED structure has at least a first and a second region controlled separately. The first and second regions are associated with the first and second sections, respectively. The unit further includes at least a partially reflecting layer, lying such that light from the transparent device, generated in the first and second regions, is mixed within the light-emitting device.
EFFECT: invention enables an observer looking inside a light-emitting device to distinguish separate sections which can provide light of different colours such that different colours are mixed within the light-emitting device.
